ATHENA ADKINS

As an alumnus of several well-known nonprofit agencies like the Minnesota Children’s Museum, Girl Scouts and the University of Minnesota, I’ve worked with community and corporate foundations and intermediaries including Public Interest Projects, Travelers, Minnesota Philanthropy Partners and Neighborhood Funders Group, to name a few.

I’ve been setting the pace and motivating teams since my time at the University of Miami where I was the stroke seat on the Novice Women’s 8 rowing team when we came in second to Navy.

WHY I DO THIS WORK…

I want to make a difference. I do what I can, with what I have, where I’m at.

I love to connect people. My passion is helping community leaders make the connections they needed to fulfill their missions. Being a consultant is more than just doing the work, I have an opportunity to leverage the connections I make to support the work of incredible foundations and nonprofits.

I believe that democracy is hard work. We all have to do our part. and I take my role in our democracy very seriously. I vote in every election, I volunteer, and I have created a business where my fundraising and grantmaking experiences support the community. Your mission is to make a difference. My mission is to support and help you get the resources you need to do just that.

My team members are a talented and diverse group who share my passion for building community. Together we bring decades of experience to meet your needs, including grant writing, research, donor relations, communications, and much more.
